Setting

The Anita Blake novels are written in the first person and as such one sees the world through Anita Blake’s eyes. As her knowledge grows through the series we learn more of the setting, and, as one might guess, some things learned earlier in the series turn out to be inaccurate or flat-out wrong.

The setting we have chosen for this game is quite different from that of the books. Instead of contemporary St. Louis, The Veiled Kingdoms is set in London of 1888.

For these points, as well as for those who have not read all or any of the books, we have tried to describe both the theme and setting in as much detail as a player will need to play on The Veiled Kingdoms with one’s eyes wide open.
