About Us
The Veiled Kingdoms is a role-playing MUSH, a text-based game inspired by Laurell K. Hamilton’s Anita Blake: Vampire Hunter series. The game is located at theveiledkingdoms.com port 4201, and can be accessed by either telnet or a MU* client such as SimpleMU.
The Veiled Kingdoms MUSH exists to satisfy a need for an Anitaverse game where good concepts are realized, played, and appreciated by all. As such, we adopted the tenets necessary to support such a game.
- There are no mediocre characters, and no player is superior to another.
- Characters exist to create story, yet stories exist to give characters purpose.
- Since characters and stories are made and supported by players, who come and go, change, etc., the game’s setting must be flexible to handle development and fluctuations.

The staff at The Veiled Kingdoms wish to encourage and maintain open dialogue between staff and players. We welcome feedback, both positive and negative, about anything our players determine to be of importance.
If you find a problem, feel free to raise the issue with or without suggesting any solutions. Please let us know why you feel a certain way about a part of the game, and lend as much clarity as you can to an issue as to help us and the other players. The Veiled Kingdoms MUSH is a community, and we strive to work together creatively to have the most fun possible. While in-character situations are often tense (which is good), we all endevour to interact politely and respectfully at the out-of-character level.
Also, the game is like a novel with stories within stories, and in a story, every character of consequence (every character at The Veiled Kingdoms) will lose some and gain some. To that avail, we are not to pretend any character is infallible. Please consider the bigger picture during your role-play, and work with the other players toward a common goal, even if your characters will likely be rivals forever.
